Even as you drive on the streets other drivers driving in such a reckless way, this too can be contributed to stress which we call road rage.

  2. Hi Norman, nice article!
Spices that spice up the Holidays can be very soothing to rattled nerves. What you have listed are very good choices.

Ginger is also wonderful for upset stomach, and along with Turmeric, has wonderful anti-inflammatory properties.

Cilantro and Parsley are helpful for detoxing yourself of the heavy metals which creep into our civilized lives from many sources.

    Cheers and awesome health!

  3. Hi and thanks for this information.

I have just moved house and to be honest the stress of all that is enough. But since I did this 3 months ago I have found the bank account low on funds and the stress has built up for sure.

To be honest I was looking for information regarding symptoms (which I have found here on this page) and i can see some of them are applying to me for sure.

I did not want to go to the doctors as i am not really a doctor going kind of person. I was looking for something more herbal and spices related!

I am suffering with a lot of depression at the moment mainly due to money, is there anything you can suggest? Or the best road to take?

    Many Thanks

    • Hello Chris it is so good to meet you, and I know what you are talking about because I was there also at one point in my life, besides what I have posted you can try taking walks in the park along with taking in all of the beauty that is around you, going on the beach and taking in all that nice sea breeze,

Do not focusing on what you are going through, relax, get involved in a hobby you know things that you like to do or would like to do, lay back relax and play some nice soft classical music, avoid negative thinking in spit of, be positive and know that things will get better but do sit down and put a plan in place and take it one day at a time.

And the most important one for me is that I talk and prayed to God, talking is a great way to help relief stress. God loves you and He will listen and help you. Yes I understand how life can be sometimes believe me I was there, but you must learn as I pointed out in my post not to take life so serious, but count Your blessings name them one by one

Because stress will only add to what you are going through, it will not make it better and that is not good for your health so just do your best and don’t sweat the rest, because a better day is coming for you and I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you and have a good day.

  4. Very informative article about stress relieving spices. Some of them my wife are grown in the greenhouse as Basil-Basil, Rosemary, and Sage-sage.
I like points 3 and 4 in your stress signs list and number six is the very cool point.
Honestly, I did not know about its stress removal options. And one more my two cents, dealing with plants and digging a soil itself is stress therapy.

  5. Hi Norman,

Thanks for the spices list. I didn’t know that spices can reduce stress. Do you have any suggestion on how often and how much as per quantity we should take them so as to totally relieve oneself of stress? I know it’s not supposed to replace medicine if your situation is a little deep, but I would love to know if I can go all natural so as to not be buried in stress which can lead to depression.

Thanks for any advice you can dispense.

From the list of herbal medicines that you had mentioned , which of those are available over the counter? I hope there is no need for prescription from a doctor. Anyway, I would appreciate it if you can recommend a herbal against stress that causes an upset stomach because I notice that every time I feel stressful that problem always comes to me first. Great article! Stress can cause so many damages and can lead to serious illnesses. I’ve heard that Passiflora is one of the best plants to relieve stress:) But know that I’ve read your article, I am convinced many other plants can help.Quick question, please. Is there a quantity not to be exceeded when using these plants?
Plants can sometimes be even stronger than medical stress relievers:)

When I am cooking, I don’t use a lot of spices, so most of them I don’t even have πŸ™ But I can see putting vanilla and nutmeg into hot drinks or even burning a vanilla scented candle. These are great ideas!

I was aware of the use of spices for stress, although I knew they could be used for other medical reasons. I’m going to have to try some of these spices rather than taking some pharmaceutical for it. This is very helpful. πŸ™‚

As he is really picky with his food, i find that the best way for him to get these scents is to include them in his meals. I sprinkle basil, rosemary, and oregano into his rice. Not at the same time. He loves them all.

Stress is certainly rampant across every timezone, and I found this to be an article that tackles the problem from a different angle, or maybe even from outside the box.

It’s a scary thing to learn about the garbage that we shovel ourselves full of, particularly this time of year… It’s good to know though, that there are natural remedies that we can use to dampen the stress, that are natural and far healthier than “comfort food.”

  18. Second time I had to read your article. With the holidays brings a little stress. I had a curious question though. Does it matter how you use these spices? Is the natural form better than say, buying the spice in a jar which I assume is freeze dried? Will they be more effective if used naturally? I don’t keep a lot of them on hand, and thought about starting a spice garden.

  19. well i do agree that we live in a world where we are surrounded by many type of stresses and to come out of that we need to relieve our body.
So gardening can be one of the stress buster tool to relieve stress but as you most of the peolle live in flats in metro so most of them do not have gardens but still they can maintain small gardens in their flats in the form of POTS.They can grow various flowers in small pots.
In singapore where there is scarcity of space people over there go for roof gardening which is excellent way of coming closer to nature and relieve your stress
