Super Charging your Diet with this SuperFood
Do you remember that popular cartoon way back in the day that we watch as children? It was a cartoon that was produced somewhere in the 1930s, and no I am not that old it was a cartoon that was still being aired on television when I came around.
The name of that famous cartoon was Popeye the sailor man. The storyline was always the same but as a kid I really enjoyed it. Popeye had a girlfriend by the name of Olive, now the thing was there was another guy by the name of Bluto
Who always challenge Popeye for her, well to make a long story short Popeye would always beat up Bluto by eating a can of spinach that supercharged him and give him superhuman strength
Even though this was exaggerated I am such that parents use this cartoon to help convince their kids why it is so important to eat their veggies including spinach. What we will be discussing is how this veggie can supercharge our diet.

I love spinach! In fact I love all leafy greens, which seem to make me feel better overall. I noticed that some of my skin issues clear up when I eat leafy greens daily, so I am enjoying all of the fresh produce that I can get at this time of year. Do you know if the spinach that we purchase in bags from the store is local or is it coming over from China? Or is it that the people in China are eating it?
Great article. I always knew that spinach was good for you. Very useful information. Will be helpful to your readers
Hi there Norman
thanks so much fo sharing this very informative post, I`m never big on veggies but luckily I do love Spinach so after reading your post on the nutritional facts, I guess I will have to even eat more of it.
Im so Surprised that spinach prevents osteoporosis, or strengthens bones this is the first time I`m reading this.
Having said that, what I love most about spinach is the easy to cook it and the speed, just a few minutes in the pan and you are ready to it.
You didn`t mention it but can I give you a good tip to make fussy kids eat spinach? grind it then use it when cooking Risotto.this it to me the easiest way I get kids to eat spinach or any veggies without them even knowing they are eating veggies.
Thanks, this was really informative, you`ve given me more reason to eat Spinach.
Hello, romay so good to hear from you, I have not heard from you for a while, hope all is well with you and your family. Thanks a million for your help and I am so happy that I could help. All the best to you, have a good day.

A great article about Spinach! I would guess that most people know that spinach is good for you, but probably don’t know why! That’s certainly true of me! I would never have thought that China was the main producer of spinach either! A really helpful article so thanks for the information!
Hello Alison so good to meet you, I am so happy that I could help. All the best to you and have a good day.
This is a very informative post on spinach. I love spinach and use it in so many recipes. It’s delicious when added to vegetables for dinner and i always add a little to scrambled eggs.
I pick up a fresh bunch at the farmers’ market every Saturday. Which is healthier though, raw spinach or cooked?
Hello again Karen so good to see you as always. It is good to see that you are taking advantage of this veggie that is so good in what it can offer. Eating it raw is much better because you get all of the vitamins this way. I am so happy that I could help. Have a good day.
Hi there, thanks for all this info on spinach. I’ve slowly added it to my diet over the years, it really is one of the most adaptable greens! Have you ever tried it in smoothies? Just a handful of spinach with some frozen bananas and maybe some peanut butter or any other fruit you like, and it turns out delicious and healthy!
I was wondering if you knew if there is a difference between eating it raw vs. eating it cooked? I eat it both ways but I sometimes find it a little hard on my digestive system if I have too much of it raw. I wish I knew why. These days I mostly throw in a handful when I’m cooking eggs or spaghetti sauce.
Thanks again
Leah
Hello Leah so nice to see you and it looks like you surely do take advantage of this veggie which is so good. Eating veggies like spinach uncooked is a good way to get all of those vitamins so eating raw in salads is much better. Thanks a million for the recipes and I am so happy that I could help. Have a good day.
