For example, animal proteins contain all the essential nutrients we need, these proteins aid in the building of muscles, and proper bone development. This protein is missing in a vegan’s diet that can cause health issues.
VitaminB12 is responsible for energy, VitaminB12 comes from meat products. A lack of this vitamin can cause a person to feel fatigued.
Eating out can be a challenge because most menus do not cater to the vegan’s diet.
The vegan diet requires you to learn how to prepare your own meals, your meals should be prepared in such a way where you are getting the daily recommended requirements.
There is an adjusting period your body has to go through before it can adjust to this lifestyle.
These are just a few of the cons of a vegan diet.

Hello Heather it is so good to meet you, I am glad that I could help. Thanks for commenting and have a good day.
Hi Norman, thanks for your post and I must honestly say that the way animals are treated to ‘produce’ meat for the people is appalling.
Still, I am not a vegan. Instead, I am trying to get meat from approved organically and animal-friendly farms. Lot’s of my friends raise their own pigs and chicken or go hunting (I live in New Zealand.)
We are trying to reduce the consumption of meat though which I have found a bit challenging since my husband loves a good steak.
Thanks again ~ Anke
Hi Norman, great article. I think if everyone gave up meat for one day,”Meatless Mondays” we would help not only the environment but people too. Thanks for sharing this information with all of us. Great post!
Hi Norman!
Vegan diet, for the most part, was created out of compassion to animals and is much better than meat and french fries diet. But is it ideal? No.
It is beneficial for some time, but after few years you can have serious problems.
I have the best experience with Ayurvedic diet. It is mostly vegetarian but allows milk products. Diet plan is created according to the body type, body disbalance, time of the year. There are also many little details, like drinking warm water boiled for 15 minutes, the biggest meal should be taken between 10 am and 2 pm, supper should be no later than 6 PM and it should be a warm soup, cook on ghee, use spices like cumin and turmeric, etc.
