  1. Oh yes, I love apricots, especially dried ones. I guess coming from the Caribbean we rarely get riped apricots so dried ones are our main choice.

However, I was totally unaware of the various health benefits of apricots. I would have easily guessed that it was rich in vitamin C and contained lots of fiber. But beyond that I wad clueless. I would have never imagined apricots as a cancer-fighting fruit. Sounds like a superhero of fruits.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Good afternoon Norman,

This is a website after my heart, I love healthy and good tasting things. Your article on Abricots made my mouth water and I realized it is quite a while ago I ate some. My dear Mother, going on a trip, always had dried apricots with her and said they were amazing when one has no food or drink available. I am blessed as I live in the south of Spain with a very pleasant climate, the only problem being lack of rain. I live in an old farmhouse with quite a bit of land so I can grow my own things in a nice vegetable garden. I also have a variety of fruits trees and I say there is nothing better than going out there to pick fresh produce you have grown yourself. There are no pesticides used here, everything is organic.
It is very important to make people aware that nature provides in many forms for our health.

      • Good afternoon Norman,

Thank you for replying to my comment. I really think people should have an open mind and realize our health does not come through big Pharma. They take our money and health away from us. Going back to nature is the best one can do.

  3. Hi Norman,

This your apricot article is really great. I really love apricot and I planted 2 in the previous year, and this year 2 more, so I hope to eat some fresh apricots next year.
The biggest problem in my area are strong frosts that have an effect on the flowering, but this winter is a little blush, so I hope that everything will go well.
Given that you are more instructed than I, I have one question: In your opinion, are apricots healthier fresh or dried?

Thank you for this wonderful article.
I wish you all the best

  4. Good Info on Apricots. My first introduction to them was through what would be called a fruit roll up today. My father would go into San Francisco for work and bring back this large roll of apricot fruit leather. This wasn’t like the sugar coated stuff today, it was just pure fruit. I later learned it was made from Apricots and I started eating them fresh. I hadn’t really studied how healthy they were. I have heard a lot about of contradictory information about apricots seeds. Have you done an article on those?
