Aspirin is a common drug or medication that I think every home should have, these pills are used to treat mild to moderate aches and pains, such as muscle aches, toothaches, etc… the important component that’s found in aspirins is called salicylic acid. This active ingredient eliminates pain and swelling in humans but when given to garden plants aspirins help by boosting the plant’s immune system. When a plant’s immune system gets boosts it helps a plant fight against garden pest invasion, parasitic attacks, and pathogens or plant diseases.

Below we will be discussing how to use aspirins on vegetable plants and the many benefits that follow this method when applied properly.

Aspirin on Vegetable Plants Steps

1. Dissolve about 3 aspirin in 4 gallons of water, wait for a few minutes to ensure aspirin is completely dissolved, or crush aspirin in a powder form and add them to water. Add about 1 tsp of dish liquid soap and stir thoroughly.

2. Once this solution is stirred thoroughly and the aspirins are completely dissolved, pour into a garden sprayer or a 32 oz bottle depending on the size of the project at hand.

3. The best time to spray is during the early morning hours once the leaves are dried from overnight dew.

4. Spray the entire plant getting full coverage of the leaves and the stems, this solution should come out of the spray nozzle fine and misty not coarse droppings. So you may have to adjust the spray nozzle.

5. This solution can not only be applied to the leaves and stems but to the plant’s roots as well, once the leaves and stems are sprayed pour the mixture around the base of the plant into the soil. Carry out this process once a month.
