Grass clippings are an all-natural organic that will keep your lawn green. The clippings from your cut lawn can be recycled back into your lawn. The clippings can be lightly raked back into the lawn or a blower can be used to spread the clippings over the lawn area.
If there is a build-up of grass clipping that is more than enough for your lawn area then the excess clippings can be placed around your garden plants as mulch and as the clippings break down will add nutrients to the soil.
A word of caution, however, a lawn that’s diseased, insect-infested, or full of weeds should not be recycled but rather bagged and disposed of. With the use of grass clippings, you did not pay a dime and your garden plants and lawn got the needed nutrients.

First off I have to say I did not know grass clippings could be used as fertilizer. We live on a farm where the owner is constantly spraying his field. Our dog has come back with many open wounds where we have to take him to the vet to get taking care of. Although I’ve talked to the owner, he is not really taking into consideration. But I hope more people were read your post to be aware of this issue.
So sorry to hear of your issue, hope that your cry will be heard and listen to. We should be careful when deciding on which fertilizers to use which can cause damage to our pets, wildlife and the ecosystem. So happy to help and all the best to you.
