Natural Healers

What so amazes me about veggies is they are natural healers, I have done so much research and found that the healing properties of veggies are just so awesome. You would really be surprised at how these natural healers can combat many illnesses.

Having the best of both worlds

You get the best of both worlds by including veggies in your diet because you will not only have a beautiful looking meal but you will be consuming all of those Vitamins these natural healers have to offer along with their healing touch. Now that is something to get excited about.

Garden salad recipes

So then we will be looking at some garden salad recipes you can try as you prepare your meals, trust me, you will love these.

1. Garden Salad

1 Medium-size onion white or purple diced, 1/2 of lettuce diced,  1 small bell pepper diced or cut into thin strips, a medium-size or large tomato diced or sliced into small cycles, 1 stick of celery finely diced.

Place veggies in a large bowl and with a spoon or kitchen clippers mix all of that good stuff together until your bowl of salad has that rainbow color. Add this to your plate for a wonderful healthy side order, make sure and use a healthy salad dressing for that final touch and enjoy.

2. Tomato and cucumber salad

1 medium cucumber diced, 1 medium tomato diced, 1 small onion diced, 1/2 of bell pepper finely diced, and 4 tablespoons of lime juice or a medium-size lemon. Hot fresh pepper is optional.

Mix all these ingredients together in a large bowl and add a pinch of salt. Your salad is ready to enjoy.

3. Coleslaw

Another favorite of mine is coleslaw, to make this you will need 1 small cabbage, 5 medium or large carrots, (optional 1 large apple or 2 small boxes of raisins). Pepper is great to add that bit of spice but is optional, if you prefer to add pepper 1 0r 2 will do. You will also need a grater, salt, and mayonnaise.

Grater cabbage and carrots make sure to peel carrots first. Place both grated carrots and cabbage in a large bowl, add about 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, the goal here is to get the cabbage and carrot moist but be careful you do want to add too much mayonnaise because your salad will not only become mushy but the taste of mayonnaise will overpower everything else.

add a pinch of salt and mix all of this good stuff together. To take it up a notch, add raisins or diced apples along with 1or 2 hot peppers, mix again really good and you are done. Now sit back and enjoy this tasty salad as a side order.

4. Spinach salad

What you will need is about 2 1/2 cups of spinach, 1/2 small lettuce, 1 small bell pepper, 1 medium or large tomato, 1 small onion, large bowl.

Place spinach in a large bowl, cut lettuce up, dice small bell pepper along with tomato, onion can be finely diced or thinly cut into onion rings. Also, add to the bowl and mix thoroughly, mix all of this yummy stuff together and you are good to go, all you will need is the salad dressing of your choice. Enjoy as dinner is severed.

5. Broccoli and cauliflower delight

what you will need is 2 cups of broccoli, 2 cups of cauliflower, 4 large carrots, 1 medium firm avocado, and 1 small purple or white onion along with a large bowl, olive oil, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.

Peel and dice carrots into small circles, bring both carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower to a boil make sure not to overcook because you want your veggies to have some firmness and crunch to them. Strain and add to a large bowl, peel, and dice avocado into small squares and add to the bowl, cut onion into thin onion rings

add these to a bowl along with a pinch of black pepper and salt. With a large fork or spoon stir very gently, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and stir gently again. You are done and this delightful salad is ready to enjoy as a side order.

The final word

Garden salads are a great way to get the vitamins we need with all of that good stuff and the amazing things they are easy to prepare and does not cost much. give these salads a try, I promise you, you will love them. So let’s start eating the healthy good stuff.

  1. Isn’t it wonderful to learn that all the natural healing we need can be grown right in our own backyard? These recipes for garden salads are great! I never thought about putting hot pepper in a tomato cucumber sandwich. I actually can’t wait to try this since my journey to eating healthier is just beginning since having my daughter. Can’t wait to try the other options you make in the future!

  6. Mmm lubberly. I had a good salad earlier, so simple – just tomatoes and basil, radishes and red lettuce. I used to love reading Mark Sissons’s website, and he always has a Big Ass Dallas for lunch, so I did that for years. I lined to add smoked sausage or cheese or something else though.

One of my favorite salads isn’t really a garden salad, it’s cucumber and grape and halloumi! Yum!

    • Hello my friend so good to meet you and I am glad that you commented, what you can do to keep cats out of the garden is to install motion detecting sprinklers, set up physical barriers, embed chicken wire in the soil, scatter mothballs through out the bed cats hate the smell. These are just a few that you can try. Hope this helps all the best to you and have a good day.
