Breakaway from the tradition of growing flowering plants in baskets why not grow herbs instead. Installing chives, mint or rosemary is a great way to grow your very own homegrown herbs. The hanging basket can be hung from your porch, mounted on a wall, attach to your fence, attach basket from a tree branch, from a post, etc.. these are all great ideas ensure however that wherever you’re hanging your baskets they get at least 5-6 hours of sunlight.

2. Container planters

Container planters are also great to grow herbs, planting rosemary in containers, and placing the containers on either side of your door entrance will not only produce such wonderful fragrance but will be a delight to your guest.

Placing containers throughout your garden area with different kinds of herbs is a real treat, what is also great is these herbs will attract wildlife such as birds bees, and butterflies along with beneficial insects that are so cool.

3. Align your driveway with herbs

Instead of flowering plants why not align your driveway with garden herbs, I believe this makes an amazing landscaping design. As you drive up your driveway herbs such as rosemary with their beautiful bloom will look so stunning.

4. Walkway areas

The use of herbs in walkways will go a long way to bring that WOW to this area. Imagine walking along your garden pathway with the fragrance of rosemary or mint filling the air along with the many wildlife, these herbs attract. This will give the feeling of a nature walk in your very own backyard and when you are ready you can pick a few to flavor your favorite dish or to make a cup of tea that is all-natural wow talk about the good life.

5. A rock garden

The traditional way of growing and maintaining a rock garden is with the use of bromeliads and other flowering plants, why not skip these plants and instead have a rock garden of herbs.

I believe the different species of herbs along with their aroma will make your rock garden a must-see. This will make a great garden design while growing edible foods.
