  2. I really like plums, I remember having them in my childhood many times as we had plum trees growing in our yard. I just never thought about how much health benefits they have.
I guess these fruits are really popular between vegans and vegetarians. I think I should involve them in my diet more often also.

  3. Great info here. I had no idea that plums are so packed with vitamins. I love them, but they have to be the perfect ripeness for me. Not too hard, but not mushy. I grew up in Ohio were we had plums all the time, but I rarely get them here in California. I guess I just forgot about them. Thanks for reminding me. 🙂

  11. It is such a amazing idea to use your backyard to your health’s advantage like this. I see that as a much better investment than holding on to the age-old idea that a cool yard must be covered in grass which is only profitable if you like pet goats.

Could you offer more details on how to plant a tree like that and how to care for it? I have a pear tree back home, but it’s dying and I don’t what to do.

    • Hello It is so good to meet you, planting a tree requites a few steps which includes, location, size of plant at maturity, watering and fertilizing requirements, pruning methods, host insects, and a few other things you may need to know.

I can generalize it for you because there is so much that is involved, and that is beyond the scoop of this email, when planting a tree the hole should be 2 feet wider than that of the root ball, plant tree where only the root ball is covered

all of the trunk must and should be expose. if tree is 5 feet and over it is best to use stakes for support, know the water requirements of your tree and give that amount of water, visit your garden center and tell the sales person what tree you have and ask what type of fertilizer they recommend for you.

Read and follow direction on bag, like I said these are just a few tips you can start with. And as for your pear tree there may be many things such as ph problem, lack of water, to much water, insect problem, soil type and so on or it may be a combination of many things. What you can do is browse my website I should have some page and post in there that I believe can help you. MY website is gardenofedengardencenter.com hope this helps all the best to you and have a good day.

I know that many of people eat plums to help move bowels or improve the digestive system.
Overall, this fruit is delicious, especially when we can get it as fresh and ripe fruit.
Vitamins and minerals from plums provide so needed support for our bodies.
I prefer fresh plums over preserve because it is delicious and without sugar.
    All the best, Nemira.
