  1. I love the watermelon face! It was interesting to read how many vitamins watermelons have, even though they are made up of so much water. I love them, and hate that you can really only get them in the summer time. And all the health benefits, just proves that eating fresh fruit and vegetables are so much better for you than all the canned and frozen stuff in the stores.

  2. As melons go, watermelon is my second favorite, the first spot being taken by Canary melons. I didn’t know about some facts you presented. I didn’t know that all parts of watermelon are edible and I still can’t see how the rind could be used in a meal, it’s one of the toughest in the fruit kingdom, anyway I might give it a try. It’s my understanding that’s also true for winter melon and all the melon family.

What I wasn’t aware of much, was the health benefits of watermelon which you have pointed out here and that’s a bonus. I just bought one over the weekend and with summer about to officially start in December, I can’t think of a better time to have it.
